Michael Gleissner (Executive Producer)
Michael Gleissner has served as Executive Producer on movies such as 3 Needles (Lucy Liu, Sandra Oh), Shanghai Kiss (Kelly Hu), Falling For Grace (Margaret Cho, Gale Harold, Cindy Cheung) and The Curiosity of Chance (Tad Hilgenbrink, Chris Mulkey). Gleissner also made his directorial debut with the feature film Irreversi, which was shot in Hong Kong in two language versions - English and Mandarin (HuiLu). Gleissner is currently directing his second feature film project, Deep Gold, which is being shot entirely on location in Cebu, Philippines.
Kacy Andrews
Kacy Andrews is CEO of Bigfoot Entertainment and has been actively involved in the entertainment industry for over 20 years. She spent nine years in both production and project development at Hyperion Pictures where she was one of the producers on Miramax's Playing ByHeart (Sean Connery, Dennis Quaid, and Angelina Jolie). Her portfolio also includes work on the feature Tom's Midnight Garden; BoneChillers, an ABC children's television series; and numerous animated projects - FOX's Life With Louie; HBO's Happily EverAfter: Fairy Tales forEvery Child (Denzel Washington, Robert Guillaume and Whoopi Goldberg); and Paramount Pictures' The OzKids. Kacy was the executive producer on the teen comedy The CuriosityofChance and the documentary USS Cooper and producer on the psychological thrillers Irreversi and Hui Lu, which were shot concurrently in Hong Kong. She recently produced Midnight Movie, a horror film that will be released in early 2008.
Jacques Thelemaque (Producer)
In 1993, Jacques Thelemaque co-founded Filmmakers Alliance with his wife, Diane Gaidry, and as president, has built the grassroots collective from a loose-knit group of eight filmmakers into an important independent filmmaking resource with over 400 members. He has overseen the production of hundreds of films and videos, set up important vendor deals, built resource and crew databanks, and facilitated a regular series of seminars and workshops covering all aspects of filmmaking.His impressive writer-director history includes Infidelity (in equal parts) (Sundance Film Festival, Los Angeles Film Festival), The Dogwalker (Los Angeles Film Festival, Hong Kong International Film Festival, Best First Feature -Cinequest Film Festival), Egg (Mill Valley Film Festival, Best Comedy Short - Cinequest Film Festival, Jury Award for Best Short - Methodfest) and Love Without Socks (AFI International Film Festival), as well as several other films which he wrote, directed and/or produced.
Liam Finn (Producer)
In 2004, Finn, along with partner Jacques Thelemaque, established Filmmakers Alliance Productions, Inc., a fully financed production company seeking to produce low budget independent films with emerging filmmakers. As a freelance producer, Finn produced a variety of projects including features, short films, commercials, music videos, electronic press kits, film website promotions, filmmaker events and an all-digital film festival, Digidance 2001.As a filmmaker, Finn has written, produced and directed several short films and penned several feature screenplays. Hired as a creative consultant on the academy award winning Warner Bros. feature film, Training Day, starring Denzel Washington, Finn created a pre-visualization of the film. Finn also began working with Jeffery Silver of Outlaw Productions in 1997 to fulfill the company's slate of Warner Bros. feature films: Dennis the Menace Strikes Again, Three to Tango, Ready to Rumble and Gossip. Finn previously worked at Warner Bros. Studios as a management trainee in the feature production department, which oversaw the logistics of making studio movies. He was later promoted to work with the head of worldwide feature production for the entire studio, the liaison office between studio executives and movie producers.
Other films he is proud to have worked on are the Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor comedy, Another You and Oliver Stone's JFK.
Jerry Jacobs (Producer)
Jerry Jacobs has served filmmaking in a plethora of categories ranging from writing and producing to directing. He produced over 30 movies since 1993, including My Best Friend's Girl, Funky Monkey and Sex & Death 101 as well as directed five feature films and many hours of television.
Rebecca Sonnenshine (Writer)
Hailing from Los Angeles, Rebecca Sonnenshine is a three-time award-winning writer. In 1999, Sonnenshine received the coveted Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting award presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for her feature length screenplay, Mermaid Dreams.Since then, Sonnenshine has gone on to pen over six feature length screenplays and several short films including Happily Even After (2004) which made its world premier at the 2004 Tribeca Film Festival.
Keith J. Duggan (D.P.)
Keith J. Duggan was born and raised in New York. He majored in film at The University of Buffalo where he nurtured his love of camera and light. He spent his early years designing and lighting theatre, which eventually led him to become Director of Photography for American Movie Classics (AMC). He went on to lens several independent features in New York, including The Beach House.
In the late '90s, Duggan relocated to Los Angeles where he lensed more than 20 features, several national commercials and more than 20 music videos. In addition, he worked as the second unit D.P. on several studio projects and pilots for Warner Bros. Most recently, Duggan's work could be seen on the SciFi Channel.
Duggan's feature credits include: John Putch's BachelorMan & Mojave Phone Booth; SciFi Channel's Haunted Prison and Sands ofOblivion; and Grey Frederickson's Soul's Midnight.
Duggan's television credits include: The Rebel Billionaire, Kevin Hill, The Law Firm, Jugando alAmor, The Bachelor, Meet My Folks, MTV's Becoming, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Howard Stern Show.
Tirsa Hackshaw (Editor)
Film editor and screenwriter Tirsa Hackshaw was born in Westchester County, N.Y. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from U.C. Berkeley where she studied both pre-med and the history of drama before landing a job at Lucasfilm. She then attended USC summer film school and was accepted to the renowned American Film Institute where she was one of six editing fellows invited back to the conservatory to complete her Master of Fine Arts in film editing.
Hackshaw's first film as an assistant editor was The Taming ofthe Small directed by Wayne Powers (Italian Job). Since then, she has been the first assistant editor on such films as Apt Pupil and Boys and Girls; the television series Judging Amy; and television films Return to the Batcave, These Old Broads and Three Wise Guys. She continued to hone her craft as an additional editor on House on Haunted Hill before making the jump to editor on the critically acclaimed show American Family. She then went on to cut the American Idol musical From Justin to Kelly and noir thriller Edison Force (starring Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey) along with many other projects, including FX's Dirt and ABC's DirtySexyMoney. A recent documentary entitled The Man ofTwo Havanas, which she co-wrote and co-produced, won the Fledging Award at the 2006 IFP market and the 2007 Coral Award.
In addition to editing, Hackshaw also uses her finely honed storytelling skills as a screenwriter. She has written five feature screenplays and several short stories. She is also the author and publisher of the popular underground comic book series Killerlnstinct, which she also adapted into a complete trilogy for the big screen.
Experienced and comfortable in both film and TV, she has worked with such creative talents as Bryan Singer, Tom DeSanto, Robert Iscove, Matthew Diamond, Adam Shankman, Gregory Nava, John Ottman, Nick Cassavettes and Joel Silver. She is also one of the founding members of Rising Tide Entertainment, Inc.
Craig Siebels (Production Designer)
Designer Craig Siebels works in a wide spectrum of media. His early career includes numerous awards for set and lighting design in theatres across the United States, including the Long Wharf Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, Madison Repertory Theatre, the Pearl Theatre in New York City and the Black Dahlia Theatre in Los Angeles.Siebels' architecture work includes the renovation of the Marilyn Monroe Theatre in West Hollywood, where he designed the inaugural season of productions. Siebels is also one of the founding designers of the furniture company "Mark Craig."
In addition to his feature film credits, Siebels is also credited as Production Designer on the Possum Death Spree series of webisodes on Atom Films and the Art Director of Burn Notice on USA network.
Jeff Toyne (Composer)
Jeff Toyne is emerging as one of today’s most promising composers of film, television, and concert music. As a film composer, Mr. Toyne blends orchestral virtuosity seamlessly with cutting edge music technology, creating a unique voice for each project with which he is involved. His feature film credits include Within (2009), 10 Years Later (2009), The New Twenty (2009), Box Elder (2008), Shadow in the Trees (2007), The Third Eye (2007), and Maxwell’s Demon (1998). Among his other film credits Mr. Toyne counts over forty short films, including two Academy Award nominees. Classically trained, Mr. Toyne was commissioned by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra to write a work in anticipation of the 2010 Winter Olympics. The resulting piece, no fanfare, enjoyed considerable print, television and radio press surrounding its World Premiere in December 2005. Equally at home in television, Mr. Toyne was composer for Who is Clark Rockefeller? (Lifetime Movie Network 2010), starring Eric McCormack and Sherri Stringfield, and also Taken in Broad Daylight (Lifetime Movie Network 2009), starring James Van Der Beek and Levar Burton, the network’s third highest rated show ever. He composed the music for A&E’s ”The Two Coreys” (2007), and CTV’s “The Daily Blade” (2000), and has contributed to many Discovery Channel programs. Mr. Toyne’s kaleidoscopic orchestral palette has also earned him international recognition as an orchestrator of several Hollywood releases including District 9 (2009), Public Enemies (2009), Eagle Eye (2008), Killshot (2008), and Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (2004). The recipient of numerous awards and distinctions, Mr. Toyne’s talents have been commissioned by organizations such as the Canadian Armed Forces, for which he composed Splendor Sine Occasu, the Official March of the British Columbia Brigade. Valerie McCaffrey (Casting Director)
Valerie McCaffrey, an independent casting director and producer, has carried her experience and knowledge from casting for top studios into producing feature films. Recently, she produced Neo Ned, an award-winning film directed by Van Fischer and starring Gabrielle Union and Jeremy Renner. McCaffrey also produced the family film, Magic, which is currently in post-production and the short film Full Disclosure, which won awards in festivals such as Ashland, Florida, Seattle and Sedona.
McCaffrey held the position of Vice President of Feature Film Casting for New Line/Fine Line Films from 1994 to 2000, which allowed her to develop strong relationships with major talent agencies and management firms. One of the highlights of her career was casting Edward Norton and Eddie Furlong in New Line Cinema's American HistoryX. Norton received an Oscar nomination for Best Actor for his gripping portrayal of Derek Vinyard and Furlong's performance was heralded as the best of his career. During her tenure as a casting executive at Universal Studios between 1985 and 1994, McCaffrey cast James Cromwell in Babe, which earned him an Oscar Nomination. She also cast such films as Hard Target (John Woo's first American film) and Dark Man (Sam Raimi's first studio film).
McCaffrey's more recent casting projects include the critically acclaimed Hard Candy, The Dukes, What The Bleep Do We Know!?, and Hero Wanted with Ray Liotta and Cuba Gooding Jr.
While at Universal Studios, McCaffrey taught drama to inner city kids for three and a half years for the LAPD Gang Prevention Program. McCaffrey also served on the Board of Directors for the Casting Society of America, is a member of The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and is on the Board of Directors for the World Children's Transplant Fund, which provides life-saving organs to children.
Pam Gilles (Casting Director)
Pam Gilles started casting in Oregon via Children's Theatre by accident. After spending summers working for Children's Non-Profit Theatre in Oregon and presenting shows like Jungle Book, Cinderella and Jackin the Beanstalk, Gilles started managing children. She formed Entertainment Enterprises to provide services, such as talent management, and consulting and casting for film, TV, and commercials. Gilles has recently cast numerous TV spots for Animal Planet, Discovery and AMC, along with name-brand commercial spots.Gilles expanded into casting theatre, including the U.S. premiere of The Body for Los Angeles and New York, the U.S. premiere of Red Star and Dead Monkey (by Nick Darke and directed by David Payne who heads The Nomad Theatre Group) and the U.S. Premiere of PoorBeastin the Rain (directed by Wilson Milam).
Gilles has cast such films as The Blue Hour (Alyssa Milano, Clarence Williams III, Rachel Minor and Derrick O'Connor), Train (Thora Birch), Magic (Greg Grunberg of "Heroes") KillerbyNature (Armande Assante and Ron Perlman) and Hero Wanted (Cuba Gooding Jr. and Ray Liotta).
Gilles also works with associates in distribution, sales and packaging, and is an active member of Women in Film and IFP West.
